Diving
*Dives/day: 3-boat dives per day, except on day of arrival, plus unlimited day/night dives on the house reef (no night diving after 7 pm). Two days on Sipadan; the other two days will be on Mabul Island and Kapalai Island. A 2-tank boat dive is available on the departure day.
**Nitrox: MYR 25, ~ $6 USD per tank.
Expected water temp: usually averages 79°F - 84°F.
Expected viz: ~ 50 ft on Mabul and Kapalai Islands and ~ 65 ft on Sipidan
Season:
Tanks, weights: Included. Tanks are 80 cubic feet aluminum. The tanks support both DIN and yolk valves.
Other gear: Available for rent
Dive guides: 6 divers per guide on the boats. Dives on the house reef are not guided.

Dive Rig
Style/Comfort: Simple, but comfortable, it’s about the diving! “Seaventures accommodation is simple and basic but has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and help you to get the most out of your diving. All cabins are serviced daily by house-keeping, with fresh towels and bedding and come equipped with air-conditioning.” This is an oil rig converted into a dive resort. It has a games room with Ping Pong Table and Pool Table, sundeck lounge, and main deck lounge (also serves as open air dining area).
Alcohol: Available for purchase.
Food: Food served is buffet style and predominantly Asian cuisine with fruits and salads. No ala-carte menu provided. Meals include: breakfast, lunch, tea break, and dinner. Also included is drinking water and coffee/tea, served all day. Alcoholic and carbonated drinks are excluded. Provisions are made for specific dietary requirements upon booking. Food brought in by guests that require cooking will be subjected to a surcharge. Drinks brought in by guests will be subjected to a corkage fee.

Getting to/from the Dive Rig: Price includes land transfer between Tawau and Sempora, and speedboat transfer to the Dive Rig (with 2+ passengers travelling together).
To the Dive Rig:
- Tawau Town to Semporna by van (~1-2 hr): Departing 0730hrs 0930hrs 1430hrs
- Boat transfer from Semporna to Seaventures Rig (45-60 min): Departing 1000hrs 1230hrs 1630hrs
Return to Tawau, Malaysia:
- Boat transfer from Seaventures Rig to Semporna (45-60 min): 1100hrs 1400hrs
- Semporna to TWU airport by van (~ 1-2 hr): 1200hrs 1500hrs
There is an option for a 2-tank boat dive on the departure day, if time and flight schedules allow; must have bills paid and room cleared by noon, then the boat to Sempora leaves at 2 pm.

Travel insurance: We strongly recommend travel insurance. The guest or their insurance must shoulder the costs of cancellations, losses and disruptions caused by reasons outside of the Dive Operator’s control or responsibility. This includes but is not limited to: inclement weather, health problems, family emergencies, lost luggage, cancelled or postponed flights (including those we book for them) and any other unforeseen reasons that can change travel plans and/or cause financial losses. This is available several places, including DAN, Dive Assure, and www.csatravelpro.com.
Dive insurance: Required.
Airfare: Not included
Other fees: 6% GST is included in the price
How settle bill for on board expenses: Cash or Credit Card. At the Rig, they accept cash in MYR (Ringgit Malaysia), USD, and GBP. For all payment made to Seaventures via credit card, they only accept Visa and Mastercards.
Tipping: Tipping is not customary in Malaysia however the team will appreciate it. There is a tip box at the Rig and you can drop any amount you wish from as little as MYR 5.00 (~ $1 USD). Tips are accepted in cash only, not credit card.
Non-divers: 3,795 MYR pp double occupancy.
Itinerary
On arrival day: Check in into your room, followed by dive briefing by the Dive Centre crew. Rig orientation dive underneath the Rig.
Check-in: 2 pm
Check-out: noon
