March is Manta Rays mating season, so we could see as many as 20 – 30 rays!  March also brings large schools of Moorish Idols, Unicorn Fish and several species of Butterfly Fish.  All year round, the Palau Aggressor II crew encounters massive bait balls of scad in and around Ulong and German Channel and on the reefs of Blue Corner and Siaes Corner.

 

Trip Includes

  • 7 Nights on yacht 
  • All meals and snacks, beverages, sodas, local beer and wine
  • Breakfast (cooked to order), buffet lunch and an elegant meal at dinner with tableside service are served in addition to fresh mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks. Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are complimentary while onboard.
  • Tanks & weights
  • Rooms have a closet, individual climate control, monitor with media player and hair dryer. Deluxe rooms have port window.
  • Monday through Friday there are four dives offered each day and a night dive on three evenings.  On saturday, a half-day of diving is offered.

  • Airfare, tips, gear, nitrox ($100 for the week)
  • Trip cancellation and dive insurance
  • USD $210 Port Fee (paid onboard) and a USD $50 departure tax and “Green Fee” (paid in cash at the airport).

Diving
Dives/day: Up to 25 dives per trip. Monday through Friday there are four dives offered each day and a night dive on three evenings.  Saturday a half-day of diving is offered.
 
Nitrox: Unlimited Nitrox is $100 per week.
 
Expected water temp: Usually averages 80 - 82°F
 
Expected viz: 100+ feet
 
Tanks, weights: 80 cubic ft. tanks, weight belts, and weights are provided.
 
Other gear: Available for rent
 
Dive guides: While in the water, you and your buddy are in charge.  Every dive starts with a dive briefing from the yacht staff. On some dive sites a staff member will offer to lead a group and assist them in locating specific points of interest.   However, the yacht does not offer direct supervision of dives. Most dives are good for snorkeling!
 
Expected diving: While onboard, you may pick a buddy of your choice, or dive with one of the crewmembers.  All dives are made from the 18-passenger dive skiff, which is lowered into the water by a hydraulic cradle.
 
Nearest hyperbaric chamber: Palau. Backup chamber in Guam.


Yacht
 
Style/Comfort: Nice. All staterooms are air-conditioned and fitted with private toilets, showers and sinks. 
 
Alcohol: Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are complimentary while onboard. The Aggressor’s selection includes fruit juices, soft drinks, iced water, iced tea, coffee, and a limited selection of local beer and wine, which are complimentary. Due to the high duty charged on liquor, we suggest you bring your special brand from the U.S. or last duty-free point. Due to local regulations; the bar will be closed while the boat is in port.
 
Food: Breakfast (cooked to order), buffet lunch and an elegant meal at dinner with tableside service are served in addition to fresh midmorning and mid-afternoon snacks.

External Communication: Email is available onboard through the satellite system. There is a charge for incoming and outgoing email. Private calls may be made from the yacht.
 
Elecricity: 110 V

 

 

Logistics
 
Airport: ROR, Koror International Airport
 
Flights: NOT INCLUDED.
 

Getting here, Sunday March 24th:

  • Guests arriving at the Koror (ROR) International Airport on Sunday evening will be greeted by a uniformed crewmember or a Neco Tourist Agent.  There are no phones or taxis at the small airport so Aggressor will assist in your transfer to the yacht. If you will arrive before Sunday, transportation from the airport to hotel must be arranged ahead of time; Aggressor can assist with this.  If you are already on island on Sunday, there will be pre-arranged hotel pick-up from Palau hotels 3-5 pm. Guests may board the boat up until Monday morning; the boat departs the dock at 6:00 am - 6:30 am Monday morning. The PALAU AGGRESSOR II™ docks at the Neco Marine (Malakai) Harbor in Palau.  

Saturday March 30th:

  • Last dive is before lunch.
  • After breakfast guests will dive at Chandelier Caves. Snorkel Jellyfish Lake! The guests will then meet the yacht at the dock after a fun cruise through the Rock Islands for lunch. Following lunch, guests may stroll through town, shop, sightsee or visit the museum. The boat will host a cocktail party Saturday evening at 6:00 pm. The crew will recommend local restaurants and arrange transportation to the restaurant of your choice for dinner Saturday night.

Departure, Sunday March 31st:

  • Check out: Sunday 8 a.m.
  • A continental breakfast will be offered prior to departing.
  • The crew will assist with organizing transportation to the airport or a hotel.

 

Flights:

  • Departure: You'll want to arrive by Sunday March 24, 2019.Guests may board the boat up until Monday morning; the boat departs the dock between 6:00 am - 6:30 am Monday morning.
  • 17-May update: The options predominatley appear to be with Delta (codeshare with China Air and Korean Air) or United (codeshare with Asiana). If one is continuing on to Chuuk and wants to book an open jaw directly with one carrier, United seems to be the easiest.

Money
 
Terms
Travel insurance: We strongly recommend travel insurance. The guest or their insurance must shoulder the costs of cancellations, losses and disruptions caused by reasons outside of the Dive Operator’s control or responsibility. This includes but is not limited to: inclement weather, health problems, family emergencies, lost luggage, cancelled or postponed flights (including those we book for them) and any other unforeseen reasons that can change travel plans and/or cause financial losses. This is available several places, including DAN, Dive Assure, and www.csatravelpro.com.
 
Dive insurance: Required.
 
Airfare: Not included
 
Other fees: 
  • Unlimited Nitrox $100/week
  • $210 port fee paid onboard.
  • $50 departure tax and "Green Fee" paid at the airport
  • Airport transfers are not included in the charter price
 
How settle bill for on board expenses: Payment can be made by cash, or MC/Visa (AMEX, personal checks and travelers checks not accepted).
 
Tipping: Crew gratuities are not included in the charter. “We believe gratuities should be voluntary and based upon the quality of service the crew has provided. When settling your account on Saturday, the Captain will have an envelope for gratuities that will be divided equally among the crew.
